528iT Wheel Size question...
I just bought a '99 528iT (Touring) with Sport Package but it has the 16" wheels, which I know probably didn't come with it. 17" was spec for the SP, I believe. Anyway I want to put back at least 17" wheels and might like 18" for a little more look. Reviewing a BMW wheel catalog, I see only wheels with a 17"x8" size are refered for the Touring models. Anyone know if a 18"x8" will work? Most 18" wheels in that catalog are for staggered fitment with 9" rear widths so I'm wondering if that is the problem for fit... i.e. the 9" width. Even 17" diameter wheels with a 9" width aren't listed for Touring models.
Any light will be appreciated. Thanks Ben |
