Estimate to repaint front bumper + 1 kidney ring

So some uninsured a-hole hit my wife in a parking lot today. Got down there and after some persuasive argument (like I am going to have the police come down), the bum gives me $290 and his ATM receipt showing $12 left in the bank.

The bumper has chipped paint on top and one of the kidney rings needs to be replaced. How much as a round number do you think this will cost?

if you get it repaired rather than replacing the whole cover, probably less than $290

It doesnt need to be replaced, the plastic is totally intact. The paint just came off the top piece of plastic on the top surface of the front bumper. I wonder if just that part could be repainted...

Did you take your one-third
j/k They can repaint it, I have had that done before, they need to use "flex" or something so the paint adheres to the plastic and can bend a bit.

often called a flex agent. They'll add it (or they SHOULD) without telling them to if it's going on a bumper.

One thing- if you're a bit OCD- that may even help your price- if you're OCD and a lil cheap - Remove the bumper and take it in for them to repair. Cheaper 'cause they dont have to take up space with your car and mask it off. OCD because it means you wont get overspray anywhere on your car. It happens no matter how much tape and paper they use.
