6 Series
The BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations. |

New to Forum
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum. I just purchased a new 2005 645Ci and I have a question. If some one could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I want to hardwire my Valentine One Radar Detector. Anybody know where I can get a good power source, like the Mirror, Sunroof, Dome lights or vanity mirror? Any instructions would be very helpful. I love driving this car! Thanks, Tim |

I would consider splicing a wire to the 12v outlet up inside the passenger foot well.

I ran my V1 with hidden cord into the passenger foot well. Cannot see wire from any angle. Was planning temp install until I did a K40 Undetectable, but since this came out so well I am gonna leave it this way until M6 arrives. My V1 is at rearview mirror - right side. Works just as good as in previous car at bottom of windshield.
For blow by blow install instructions in an E60 (very similar) go to E60.net in their DIY section. Pictures of at least two detailed versions. |

Thanks for the info.
After unsuccessfully trying to locate power from the dome light, map light and sun roof. I started my search else where. I ended up tapping off the Accessories power. I ran a separate power line behind the right "A" Pillar cover, under the headliner and out the front near the rear view mirror. It works great. It was allot more work than I had planned on. Cheers, Tim |
