528i or M5?

I currently have a 1998 528i and I want to sell it and get a E39 M5. Problem is it'll take me quite awhile to get the money for the M5. So in order to do this I have to stop buying stuff for my 5er. Question is, should I wait like 2 years and get an M5 or just mod my 528?

Enjoy your 528 the way it is now and put your money towards something more important?

In 2 years the M5 will be old, and problems will be more numerous and expensive: MAF:s, Clutch...
REmember its not only the buying price its also the maintenance price!

Why wait? Just do it.

Take your 528 to nearest Carmax and just take whatever they offer you. Now walk over to the bank and max out a 2nd mortgage on the house or liquidate your 401k..... don't worry about this choice, just go for whichever option provides more cash faster. Still short, just ask your sister for a loan and your there dude!

Better idea, go for the 2nd mortgage AND the 401k early withdraw. You'll be tricking and modding your new CPO M5 right from the start. Have the dealer install the Dinan S2 M5 kit (it's only another $35,848) and now your talking 470 ponies!

Go buy that car today homeboy... wish I could. You Rock!

You can never tell a perrson's financial well being by the car they drive. They may be sleeping in the back seat.
