E39 (1997 - 2003)
The BMW 5-Series (E39 chassis) was introduced in the United States as a 1997 model year car and lasted until the 2004 when the E60 chassis was released. The United States saw several variations including the 525i, 528i, 530i and 540i. -- View the E39 Wiki |

Suggestions on leather seat covers?
My bottom seat cover is starting to crack on the thigh support panel. I'm thinking of replacing the whole bottom seat cover. I've priced them out from the dealer (($645) and from World Uph. ($500). Does anyone know of other sources? I was thinking of looking for a used passenger side seat with minimal wear but I'm not sure if the seat covers are interchangeable with the driver side. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!
