Arrow Modified Luxury & Exotics Mag Event Coverage here now!!!

I hope this isn't a repost (I did do a search). I just purchased a magazine I had never heard of before... Modified Luxury & Exotics September/October issue and there is a 7 page article on Bimmerfest 2005. They have many great pictures and the article is pretty good too. There are also some sweet BMWs throughout the magazine that are worth looking at. Just thought I would let you all know...

I bought it in Montecito Village Grocery. I have never seen it before but it is very good. I bought it for the BMW M3 and X5 articles it was featuring and found the article on Bimmerfest. Like I said before the pictures are worth getting a copy! Do you want me to pick one up for you? You live in Santa Barbara right? I could drop it off somewhere for you. I wish I had a scanner to post the pics for everyone else to see!!! Thanks, Martin

Mein Auto: '63 Riviera
I used to live in Montecito for almost 20 years. I have a '63 Buick-Riviera- Bimmer-Creamer with a Nakamichi CD 700 II, a Nak 304 X-over, an a/d/s/ 642ix/Ac-502 constant bass processor, a JL 500/1 sub amp, Old Soundstream Reference SS-10R low-compliance subs in a n aperiodic enclosure, a Sounsstream reference 300 amo for a/d/s/ 300is speakers in the lower corners of the doors. I used Monster Powerlin2 + for sub wire, Audio quest Av-4 speaker wire for full-range, Monster power cable (can't rember the name, Monster's latest patened 4/1 ratio in ratidii for twisted pair). It made no fdifference in the Interlink Reference 2 I was using with absolutely NO noise.

I have to say that many people say that there can be no appreciable differences in a CD source unit; This is untrue. When I heard the new Nak CD 700II, there was so much low-level detail, and definite inaging cues I had missed after some careful missing. Plus the conhesiveness of the fequency transitions seemed so smoothout. This is the best upgrade I've made to my 42-year-old car.

I hope that it will make that thief frustrated when he/she ripped off my CD700 w/o the DC-DC powersupply or the sleeve, which will all make it useless to the pawnshopowner.

Though I'd share a picture:

Mein Auto: '63 Riviera
My cars

Here's my '63 Riviera, painted spies hecker Mercedes "Astral Silver," designed by bill Mitchell (who did the '63-'67 Corvette) and was influenced by the Ferrari 250 2+ 2 GT and Bentley. When he was England in the rain, he saw a Bentley and thought, "If you could just chop the top, let some air out of the tires, shorten it and make it more sporty, it could be a cool car" In stock form with the Wildcat 445-325 HP, 445 ft-lbs torque, the '63 is faster 0-60 than the a '63 ferrari 250 GT. The next year, with its dual quad Wildcat 465 (425 cubic inch with 2-4 bbl carter carbs V-8/switch pitchTHM -400 transmission, having 360 HP and 465 ft-lbs of torque) it was one of the fastest rated production cars, with one of the top rated stock engines.

Here it is in Montecito at home on Dulzura Drive (Upper village)
