2005 530i increase emissions - yellow engine light

I have a 2005 530i with 4000 miles. I'm on a long trip (last night) and the "yellow" engine figure light comes on. the computer says "increase emissions" and washer fluid needed. then the yellow check engine soon light comes on.
Is this a major issue, one that should be addressed before I continue on my trip??? any help/info. would be much appreciated.

Have you checked to see if your gas cap is on tight? I've read that those warning lights can come on in those situations. I'd run it by a dealer if you have the chance, but I wouldn't worry too much about increased emissions immediately.

The issue was a "faulty intake cam sensor". Dealer replaced sensor and no other issues were found. Tech did say they had a few of these come in, so thought I would pass it on. No problem w/ the car, just faulty sensor. Appreciate the message board, good place to check things out.
