BMW's radio has a build-in anti-theft. What happen after you car loses power. The radio will display a "CODE", which you must enter correctly. It will give you 3 tries before it goes into "CODE WAIT" mode.

To solve this problem, you must leave the keys and turn it to ACC (don't have to start the car) for at least 1 hour. If you start the car and shut it off, you would have to do it again. So its important if want your radio back.

Disconnecting the power (battery) will not work or unpluging the unit. So you would have to still wait the 1 hour before you will see the "CODE' again.

Good luck

Wow, your #2 on your radio doesn't work, man, that sucks.... your choices seem limited to you either fixing #2 or maybe seeing about getting the code changed??
