How many BMW's do you see

Have you ever taken notice to how many BMW's you see on your way to work? I drive about 5 miles to work and I don't drive on any major roads or freeways. I usually see about 3-4 every morning. This morning for example, I was sitting in line at a light and I saw 4 Bimmers 3 of which were convertibles... all with in a matter of seconds. Mine made it 4 out of 5. Sometimes I play the BMW game at lunchtime. I look out the window and count cars to see how many pass by before I see a BMW. I usually get to 25 or so before I see one. I can't say I do this every day, or with anybody else, it's just something I do to occupy my mind. I guess I just can't get enough of them

Hundreds every day, it seems. The local BMW employee lease program assists those numbers, though!

Here in the Syracuse area they are a bit rarer. I would say usually 2 a day (more or less)

About two 3-Series a day. I get to see another 5-Series about once every 3 or 4 days. I haven't seen a 7-Series or Z4 in a while. They're still exclusive and stand out, my 525i is the only white E39 in the city.

There are always a few parked in residential areas.

I see at least 8-10 per morning and 99% are sedans. Maybe once a week I'll see a Z or M3, but surpisingly very few 325 or 330 coupes.

I work near Microsoft and Google. The running joke is that the city of Bellevue is going to be renamed BMWville.

The ubiquity of Bimmers around here had me looking at VWs and then Mercedes before I even considered a Bimmer - but I am glad I did (buy a Bimmer).

I think they're all BMW's, Mercs or Lexi here.

X 2

I literally see hundreds of bimmers on my daily commute of only 16 miles. Of course, I see hundreds of everything given how many thousands of cars there are in just my little section of LA.

On my commute and around where I live at least every fifth car is a beamer... (I commute PCH - the stretch from Monarch Bay - Dana Point - to Balboa Peninsula - Newport Beach). Somedays it seems like every other car is a beamer, but you know, your brain is more likely to notice something your interested in...

I drive 17+ miles of highway (including PA turnpike) on the way to work and I see maybe 3 or 4 3-series (mostly 325i or xi) per day. 1 or 2 5-series every other day. 1 7-series maybe per week. The Z4 and 6-series are very rare. They get more common as you drive towards NY on the NJ turnpike. I have actually never seen my exact configuration on the road (that I can recall). I just saw an E90 yesterday, live, for the first time. I think the Camry is the Honda Accord of 1995. I see about 30+ every day.

They are common where I live.
I think people are starting to buy other brands so they will stand out a little more.

I agree with you on this. I see more Camry's than any other car on the road. The local dealer is the largest in the country regarding sales figures anyway.

As far a Bmw's are concerned I see mostly 330's, 325's, Z4's, 5ers. some 7's and every once in a while a 6er. Most of the cars are sedans. There are some 325 and 330 convertible's but most of the convertibles seem to be Z's. I bought my car because I thought a long drive in a Z might be be uncomfortable. I also think the 3er convertible looks classy as he11.

I just got done with a round trip 3,000 mile vacation to New Jersey of all places(family thing) and I noticed a lot of Bimmers in Florida. Some in Ga. and almost none in the Carolinas. Once I got into Virginia there were more and even more thru Maryland into Pa. I had a ball driving the beltways around Baltimore and DC. The car handled flawlessly. It's nice to be able to pass someone with ease. I'ts also nice to accelerate up a hill too. Since I don't have any hills here, driving thru Pa. and NJ north of Rt. 80 was a blast. I must say that my back was starting to bug me, even with the lumbar support. But when I switched to the passenger side and let my wife drive, it didn't bother me at all. Probably becuase I had the seat back and was able to stretch out more. Speaking of the seat going back, it would be nice if the seats reclined all the way back, or at least more than they do. I found it to be somewhat uncomfortable for trying to sleep during the trip.

Hundreds...plus a few M3s, M5s, new 645s every day. Makes it hard to be satisfied with a plain 'ol 3 series. Working in La Jolla, CA it's just ridiculous...

Obviously, it depends on where you live. Where I live I see very few...Maybe one a day. It's hard to see around all the SUV's and cow-sh!t covered pick-ups. Just got back from 2 weeks in Germany; saw lots of them there. In fact they have a lot of German cars there. Go figure.
Seriously, I was kind of surprised...It seemed to me the most common car there was Audi. BMW and MB's came in a close 2nd. And any guesses what the most common American car over there is? Jeep Cherokee.

I probably see 40+ a day but then again my commute is only 3 miles each way. My wife works at a local very large computer company and her parking lot has a lot more Bimmers than any BMW dealer's lot.

It was funny, last Saturday my wife and I were sitting outside in front of our local coffee shop and parked directly in front of us were 7 BMWs of varying series -- all parked next to one another -- It was like a BMW club meet or something (but it wasn't).
