ok, this might be a stretch here

May we have a real-estate forum. Poly/Sci doesn't seen to fit IMO. In my mind, economics are not necessarily political sciene. Arguing how much ones President sucks or doesn't suck doesn't seem to have much to do with whether the real estate bubble will burst or not. I understand that in macro-economics a given governments opinions could effect things, but I feel that these real-estate arguments are getting old in the same forum.

My other argument is a certain P/S moderator editing/deleting (only one post that I know of) due to a mispelling and not wanting to face up to the jokes whereas the rest of us must live up to the kidding around for a mistake in spelling while titeling a thread.

We all can make mistakes, but only a few people can fix their mistakes prior to ridicule and for those of us that can't delete our own posts and start them again thereby starting our points in a diminished status, that's not really fair when a mod may screw up as much as they like and delete/edit as they see fit.

The real estate and computer forums will have to wait until after we get the following:

A "What Kind of Oil Should I Use" forum
A "When Should I Change My Oil" forum
A "What Kind of Gas Should I Use" forum
A "Why Did My Car Beep At Me" forum
A "What Tire Pressure Should I Use" forum
A "What Kind of Tint Should I Get" forum
A "Bimmer, Beemer, or Beamer" forum
A "My ZHP is Better Than an M3" forum
A "Brake Dust" forum
A "Where to Buy Clear Corners" forum
A "What Tires Should I Buy" forum
A "Step vs Stick" forum
A "Leather vs Leatherette" forum
A "How Do I Read The Dipstick" forum
A "What Kind of Coolant Should I Use" forum
A "What Kind of Wiper Fluid Should I Use" forum

and everybody's favorite....

A "Repost" forum (All reposts, All the time ).

And prolly quite a few more that I have forgotten.

Back when we launched Poly Sci I typed out a long memo stating that there
would be little if any moderation in that particular forum because that would
be the nature of the discussions there. It used to be a sticky; I don't know
what happened to it...

There any no moderators per se in the Poly Sci forum. If a post or thread
gets completely out of hand, then an action may follow.

If anyone has a complaint about how anyone of the administrative staff is
performing their job (including me), I encourage them to send me an private
confidential email - jon@bimmerfest.com.

That's about it...

Why did this get moved? I thought where I put it was a correct place. I don't have any complaints about how this site is moderated at all, but I was kind of pissed that someone w/ mod powers used theirs to avoid being made fun of.

Regardless of what happened, with all the latest real estate pissing contests I think it might be a good idea to have a sub forum, same for those of us w/ computer issues. Now that we've got sub forums for almost every BMW ever made, perhaps we can clean up the OT and P/S boards?

Whatever those of you that run this place figure out, I'm cool with. I come here out of my own free will and will continue to contribute to the expenses whenever I can, I just thought I'd offer up some food for thought.

Before that ever happens, I need to be a mod before you. So that I can change jever's post to put in misspell words and grammar mistakes.

You would be the only one here w/ a negative post count if your mistakes could be deleted.

You mae a mistake, it should be:

A "Step versus Stick versus SMG" forum

and possibly:

A " SMG versus versus SMG 1 versus SMG II versus SMG III" forum

I gotta say ....the best computer advice for me comes from the Bimmerfest OT area.

Because of this forum, I was able to set up my wireless network, add a print server and a network hard drive...which..I think is a big deal.... if you dont deal with flux capacitors every day.
