2000 M5 Engine Oscillation under light throttle
OK....I've had 2 repair shops (one very credible) suggest my oscillating engine noise (roughly 1-1.5 cycles per second at 2000 RPM in 3rd) is relatively "normal". Normal...I think not and am suspicious of "problems" that could appear w/ time as a result. I am not a hypochondriac, but am probably such for my M5. While I indicated a specific RPM above, I have noted that this noise can be noted up through 4th gear under slight accelleration...NOT under hard accel in any gear. Other than this little annoiance, I love the car and it drives great (76Kmi). I'd appreciate any "comfort" that can be offered. Thanks for your time.
