Steptronic oil? Mobil 1 ATF ok?

Well, at 118.000km and temperatures exceeding 40C here, I am thinking of an ATF change.
Problem is, I really dont know anything about it since it is my first auto car! Mostly manuals here.

I really wonder what ATF oil to use?
BMW OEM??
Mobil1 Synthetic ATF?
Other?

All this BS about lifetime auto fluid is getting on my nerves....BMW has found yet another extra way of creating revenue. Auto trasnsmissions!!!!I am not going to be another victim of their scheme....

from what I have read the past 2 days I have been doing some research, every 50-60k miles is mandatory, depending on use.
