Mein Auto: 2014 F31 M-Sport via ED
I may not know today what will replace my current BMW at lease-end...but I DO know I will seek out Rolf when the time comes for ED#2!

As drstein has said...he's more than a taxi driver, but a trusted friend who makes the ED experience that much more personal and special. It just wouldn't be the same w/o Rolf leading the way.

I also had great experience with both Rolf and Peter; we had a child and excessive amount of luggage so we needed 2 cars. They both were extremely helpful.

Is too bad no matter how wonderful, no matter how much better, there will always be those that prefer price over real quality.

Rolf is not available on 21 August 2014 for our arrival, so he has arranged for Peter to take care of us.

How much he charges from airport to welt. We land at 2:30pm and pick up is 4pm. Is it possible for him to pick me up at airport? Do I have enough time to get to welt?

We just returned from using Rolf's services. He charges 55€ from the airport to Welt or Hotel. If you have time, he will sit down with you and map out POI for you to visit and is more than just a "shuttle" service like Sixt.

The Welt closes at Midnight. I know they do delivers throughout the day and evening. They had 90 scheduled deliveries on the day that we were there.

Rolf just came back from Holiday, so if you email him, he should be able to pick you up.

Shouldn't be a problem. Rolf will be waiting for you at an assigned spot and it takes ½ hour from Airport to Welt.

So that leaves 15 minutes from plane landed to plane taxied to docked to deboarded to car. Plus from car at Welt to appt.

Good luck with that.

It could be done. Our flight arrived early and we were out of the airport in 20 minutes from touchdown. Rolf drops you off right at the door, they won't deny you entry. You just spent $$$$$$ with them.

I would not even depend on the plane taxing to the gate in good time part of it. Let alone traffic. "It could be done" does not inspire confidence. Reschedule makes much better sense.

We just returned from ED yesterday and wanted to say thank you to this forum and specifically for introducing us to Rolf! *He was waiting for us right outside baggage claim.* Sat down with us for a few minutes to answer questions and give tips about travel.* Then he took us to the local version of AAA so we could get our vignette stickers for Switzerland and Austria, showed us where the Welt is, then dropped us at our hotel.* When I asked him the best way to get from the Hotel back to the Welt the next day he offered to pick us up in the morning and take us there for no additional fee! (He wasn’t expecting it, but we tipped him anyway) He was inexpensive and extremely helpful making for a very comfortable no-stress experience.* Thanks Rolf, we may see you again in a year, Jody says it is her turn next!

As many know, I'm very pro Rolf. I know he went out of his way to make my trip pleasant and my traveling in Munich easy. Everyone has an opinion, but I just don't think anyone will get that level of treatment from the free shuttle. Of course some will disagree, but for the nominal fee my friend Rolf asks, well, I feel its worth every Euro....and more. Glad you enjoyed him and your stay crose04 !!!

For a 1st time ED'er, I would agree. I'm on my 4th ED and having been to Munich 7-8 times in the past, the SIXT free limo works for me.

The free limo also meets you at baggage, takes you where you want to go in a nice BMW, answers questions and leaves you that much more for the gift shop.

We had Rolf pick us up today from the Munich Airport. Extremely friendly and he makes you feel like you're at home! Since it was Sunday, a lot of the places were closed but he did take us to a place where we got a SIM card (blau.de/e-plus), drove us to our hotel, and gave us excellent information on what to do while in Munich.

+1 to him. Anyone who comes to do ED should contact Rolf!
