Rolf gave us a ride to and from the airport this week. Great guy, good info, very punctual. Highly recommend.

Just returned from ED last week. Rolf was busy with other customers and assigned us to Peter for the trip to the ED center and then back to the airport. Peter (and his X3) was puctual, curteous, and even a bit fun to kind around with.

Thanks Peter!

Not a problem at all! But does that mean I could order a 2008 328xiT for delivery in July?

Its been posted somewhere that you shouldn't refer to German's by their first name. I wasn't looking forward to trying this with Rolf's last name and my German pronounciation. We asked him about it and he told us his last name was too difficult and to just call him Rolf. Much easier! He is the nicest guy!

Rolf was great--never would have found the delivery center without him.

I am doing an August ED and I'd like to have Rolf do the driving. However, my family will be joining me - yup, all 5 of us. Any thoughts on whether Rolf could accomodate ALL of us?

Oh, and what's the deal with car seats. My youngest is not quite 11 years old?

Gosh, part of the fun of European Delivery is to drive yourself, but by all means take Rolf with you.

Seriously, if he needs to have Peter come along with a second car, or he can borrow a big 7er, figure something out.

Children 12 and under cannot be in the front and must be in a safety seat.

It appears all of the posts refer to getting from the airport to the delivery center. For persons heading to the Munich Marriott does it also make sense to use Rolf's services?

Northcar, I actually did a search on the topic of "Mariott" today. While there are always other options available, it's whether you decide if the 40 euro fee is worth it to you or not. You can take the bus which is much cheaper but I would rather have Rolf meet me at the airport, give me a bit of a tour (at least he could tell me a few cool stories), than haul my luggage onto a bus stop and then to the ED center. Rolf provides a trip to the ED doorstep.

FWIW, Rolf is taking me and I am staying at the Munich Marriott (I am going from the Airport > Delivery Center > Hotel). Since I'm arriving in the afternoon, it makes more sense. I figure after a long plane ride the last thing I want to do when I first get to Munich is figure out on how to get where and what not. My 2 cents.

Rolf is so much more than a limo service. For me, never having been to Germany before, it was invaluable hearing Rolf's tips on how to "decode" the speed limit signs, what sights were a "not to miss", etc.

I had a similar problem getting in touch with Rolf. It turns out that my email server (Time Warner Roadrunner Wisconsin) was probably blocking his replies. I asked him to reply to two different emails that I have - and only one return worked (my work server). Maybe you can ask him to reply to a different account. Once we got in touch, he was very responsive and helpful - he's providing our transport on May 4th and May 11th.

Doesn't the new X5 have an extra passenger bench in the back? Perhaps he can get one of those?

When booking a pickup with Rolf from the airport, how much time should you allow yourself to get through customs and immigrations?

5 min. I have rarely encountered a line in immigration (Paß control).

This also depends on whether you are going through the EU or non-EU line for passport control. The non-EU line might take longer.

Customs - unless you are stopped or go through the red zone instead of the green zone - is just like any other modern European airport.

What are the EU and non-EU lines?. How do you know which one to select? Also what are the red and green zones? Sorry for the simplistic questions.
