DS vs D mode
Hi all
I have a 2006 525i and have done 1200 miles on it but I still have not noticed any difference in the drive when the car is in the "DS" or "D" mode. ( I presume DS means sports mode- please ignore my ignorance). Does slamming the accelerator harm the engine? Love every second of my Bimmer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In DS it should hold the gear longer and not, or significantly delay, shifting into overdrive (6).
