Ouch! at the pump

Sure I'm not paying the most around here, so a two part question.

What has Premium gotten to in your neck of the woods?
Will the ECU adjust timing if you put in middle grade gasolino?

Paid $2.99 the day before yesterday. Widely reported between $3.40 and $3.50 yesterday.

My wife's X5 wasn't all the way empty (the yellow light had been on for about 10 miles), and it cost me $68 bucks to fill it up.

OK, folks,

How about checking this website. It shows the high and low prices throughout a given region in the US. Information is current.

Also, if you want to change the location, then look over to the left-hand side of the web page and look for the fields titled, "Metro Areas OR State/Provinces."

If I've done my conversion for Gallons to Litres and $US to $AU right,

then in Sydney, Australia we are paying $3.68/gallon for premium unlead (98 octane)

And they expect it go higher over then next couple of weeks.

Too much. But we all control the demand of gasoline. With less demand, supply goes up, and subsequently price goes down.

Yes but included in the price of your gas is FREE HEALTH CARE, for which I pay an additional $700 a month. So I am paying $16 a gallon for what you get.

That is really pricey - and UK and Europe have historically had much higher gas prices than we enjoy in the US.

Do you have the option to take public transportation where you live?

I would have to drive further to get to the train than I would to get to work.

Read your owner's manual lately? High compression engines need higher octane to run efficiently. If you give it lower octane gas, it may run all right, but you'll get lower mileage that will negate any savings at the pump. In fact, you'll most likely lose money.

I hear this line often. Sorry my friend, but we fought a war over those exorbitant British taxes, and you guys are still stuck with them. What would your gas cost without the added taxes?
