4-spoke steering wheel swap

Guys,
I found a guy who's selling his 4-spoke M-Sport wheel and i want to swap my 4-spoke standard wheel out for it since my leather's starting to go. I looked on realoem and the two wheels have different sliprings and different airbags. will i need the proper slipring to put the m-sport wheel on or can i use the one that i currently have? Also i don' like splicing or soldering wires so if I need to do that at all then maybe this wheel isn't for me.

Thanks,
Colin

You'll have to do some electrical work, so if you don't like to do that sort of thing (and why would you?), I'd pass on the wheel. Save up a little longer and get a nicer wheel, like the Euro 3-spoke w/airbag.

hes also offering a 3-spoke. slip ring and airbag included. maybe i'll go for that. how do i know if i want a single or dual stage airbag? does that even matter? The DIY on doug's domain made it look plug and play...

I think the 3-spoke wheel should work fine, since your car and the 3-spoke wheel are both OBD2. You can verify by checking realOEM if the owner of the steering wheel knows where it came from (or will provide you with the p/n on the slip ring).

It was P&P for Doug since he bought an OBD2 setup for his OBD2 car.

I have a 3 spoke euro I bought from a guy in Ireland. Never got around to installing it. Thing is, it smells like mold. I'm not putting it in my car until I can get rid of that. If I can't figure out how to clean it, I'll sell it if anyone wants it...
