E82 / E87 / E88 / F20 1 Series (2008 - 2014)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

135d over pressuring cooling system

Today I went to have a look at a friends car with a bit of an issue.. it is a 1Series coupe (e82) with an e92 335d (m57) transplant, the car and conversion seem to be a nice job all works well apart from the cooling system! It seems to be pressurising quite a lot when driving also forcing coolant out of the header tank along with the water pipes from both sides of the rad to be really hard to the point they canít be squeezed, coolant temps read ok donít seem to go above 80-82c, water pump is good, thermostat works well as it should, has anyone come across this either in this type of conversation or in the 335d, 535d, or even 635d cars with the m57 engine?? I thought before I start going into it too much I would ask here first...
Thanks
