Headrest
My headrest on my drivers seat does not retract. The motor runs when the switch is pushed, but nothing happens. I would be satisfied to just get it down. Any suggestions?

Simple Fix
Here is a fix. It is similar to the twisted seat back fix. Click Here

If your problem is mechanical.... Like your seats there is a cable that comes out of the motor. To fix it:
-- Remove the seat back -- just lift up! -- Remove the 2 screws which hold the cable casing tight against the motor -- Remove the cable -- Remove the metal cover piece by ripping it off the end of the casing -- Cut the casing by about 3/8 to 1/2" and replace the metal cover piece -- Put the cable back inside -- Replace the two screws. -- Test for full travel. (I don't think there are stops but I could be wrong.) |
