F22 / F23 2 Series (2014 - Current)
The 2 Series coupe is the replacement for the E82/E88 1 series coupe. Production starts in November 2013 on the 228i (N20) and M235i (N55) coupes. Look for them in dealerships in February 2014. The convertible F23 2 series will follow in the fall of 2014.

Tonight I pick up my 2017 M240i.

Sad to see the 2015 235is Z4 go.

The buyout on the Z4 was crazy high and makes no sense to buy since I could by one almost exactly the same for $15,000 less than the $48,000 the dealer wants.

I took the M240 for a test drive and loved it, looking forward to 3 more years of BMW convertible fun!

Let us know if you're successful at picking up the car. I'm curious if the 2-series recall affects the 2017 M240i as well as the 2018 MY. My wife and I had actually gone to the dealership Saturday and had gone through their guided tour of the new car, sitting in the car for quite a while before they told us we couldn't take it home due to an unexpected recall that had just shown up in their computers that evening. We even went through signing all the paperwork for finalizing the purchase.

Our car is now in limbo with the dealer uncertain of whether the dealership has access to the software update needed for the recall and are waiting to see what the status is. All I do know is that without the update, BMW has ordered all the affected cars to be held up. None can be sold or delivered until the recall issue is fixed.

Good luck.

I saw that on a couple of other threads.

So far I'm supposed to pick it up at 6PM eastern time.

If I had to drive the Z4 another week or two I guess there's worst things.

I'll update when I know.

Wish me luck.

Thank you!

I just picked it up, no problems. They didn't mention the recall.

Congratulations! At least we now know that the recall seems to only cover 2018 models of the M240i.
