Buy High Mileage M3???

Broker has a 2001 M3 w/99k miles. Red/dove gray. Asking $24k. Sport & winter package, seems to have all options excecpt nav. Very clean, new tires. California car. If it checks out mechanically, is it worth considering or just too many miles???

Excellent $24,360

Good $22,715

Fair $20,445

Depends on the options and the above prices are representing a loaded M3.
Not a convertable.

i wont give him excellent price, do between fair and good, and get ready to walk out. High mileage are ok, if you intend to keep it and work on it.

reselling maybe harder later after you put your miles added on and carfax show too may ownership. If I was the buyer on high miles car, I gather have it with one owner than alot, also w/o auction records.

Only you can make that call, for you know the car better than us. Good luck and use your gut feeling, you'll be alright

get PPI, carfax, dealer service history and check the title too btw, make sure its executed properly.

Think about extended warranties and maintenance if possible. I think 2001 was the year of many engine troubles.

Look up the title history is a must. I think it might be a good value, but most M3 owners I have ever met drive their cars into the red on a daily basis, so keep how it was probably driven in the past in mind.
