E82 / E87 / E88 / F20 1 Series (2008 - 2014)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Run flats - get rid of them?

Found a terrific 2013 135 convertible, but don't like the run flats - 215/40, 245/35 18 inch. I want to get Michelin Pilots, but any hints on what to do about a spare tire and jack? Thanks.

Bimmmerzone.com, bavauto.com, ecstuning.com, etc. sell spare tire and jack kits.

The question is will one fit in the trunk of a convertible. I duh know.

I got the Mish PSS and never looked back. I am on my second set and they are great. I got the BMW Mobility kit (Tire repair gel and air compressor) in the Back JIC

My 335is is at Costco as I type getting rid of those dumb flats and getting new Michelins. I can't wait. Both my rear run flats had bubbles on the sidewalls. I didn't hit any bumps so I have no clue. I hate run flats. I'll carry a small air pump and some plugs. I also have AAA. I'll look into the spare tire thing too. i have only had two flats in the last 17 years - one on my MB and one on my motorcycle. I plugged the motorcycle tire.

I can't wait to drive the car without run flats.

replying to my own reply. New Michelins are on, BMW dealer aligned it, BMW rides great. SO much better with real tires that are not run flats.
