Sunset orange anyone?

An M420i is looking to be my next lease. I'm going back and forth between mineral grey (with coral red interior) or sunset orange, but not sure about what interior there. I'd prefer not to do black since I have that currently. Anyone have orange with an interior that isn't black?

This is kind of funny... I'm going from a 05 orange MCS Convertible to a 2018 Estoril Blue m240 (car is at the dealer and arrives at my house on Tues). And you are thinking of going from an Estoril blue to the same orange as my mini cooper.

It was tough choice.. I was debating on the orange, white (with coral seats) and blue. I chose the blue because I want to blend in.

Benefit.. I park my car in a tourist section of SF where break-ins are very common. Having an orange car, everyone knows my car so if someone touches, leans on it or even looks at my car funny - I know about it. Everyone knows that's my car. :-)

Bad... If I'm speeding then my little orange rocket is identified in seconds vs any other car (and I get the ticket every time). Plus if my car is parked at work, swimming club in SF, and etc.. Everyone knows where I'm at (good and bad).

Wishing you the best and I hope you enjoy your new car.

No problems, but OTOH, I don't wear jeans. I also do use Leather Master Leather Barrier. Here's a shot after three years...

Also, keep in mind the other brown family color....cognac, which would also look well and perhaps be less worrisome due to being darker, but far from black.

Cognac looks great in the pix. Would have to see one in person, but that would be my choice.

Me too. I wish they had it when I ordered mine.

My wife initially wanted the cognac interior to go with the Sunset Orange exterior, but noticed that in a lot of pictures, the combo didn't really go together very well. The cognac gets lost when compared to the orange, especially with the top down on the convertible, so my wife chose oyster, which contrasts very well with the sunset orange.

I have black, which works fine, but is also why I'm looking for something else.

I went w/ black also. I would have gone oyster, but much of the color didn't carry over to other parts of the car (like in the 3/4 series).

That was the same reason I went w/ gray interior in my C7. It was the only color (other than black) that carried over to the carpet and brought the interior colors together. For me seats and door panels are not enough when coloring an interior.

Of course, with all things, it comes down to personal tastes.

I got the Terra Dakota Leather and it looks great with Estoril Blue. It's a nice contrast that complements the body color and lightens up the interior. It looks really good with the darker wood trims, probably not so much with CF interior trim. A lady working entry at a car event I was at yesterday went out of her way to complement the color combo. Cognac is pretty close and I suspect would look really good as well.
