LeatherZ = Supersprint Dealer

We will be a Supersprint dealer by middle of next week.

If you are in the market for a SS, you might hold off until we get prices. At least initially, we will discount them heavily to build business. Certainly for Bimmerfest faithfuls.

Since I have pretty well decided to stick with the Z3 Coupe, I may be interested in a SS upgrade soon. Do they even have a 3.0 solution yet?

Don't know much re: exhaust but is there any performance difference w/ SS?

Weight pretty much = no?
Sound is subjective...
Looks is subjective...
So performance would be the determinant yes?

Nope. Andy likes the Magna a lot I think. The only advantage SS has over a Magna is no welding is needed with SS. Magna means welding, which means a shop for most people, and many of our customers would not trust someone to weld on their car.

The biggest reason he is switching (at least temporarily) is we aren't going to sell stuff we don't know about. We will put SS's on his car and my car. If we like them, then we will sell them. We both need to learn how to install them so we can answer customer questions too.

I assume we will have to buy Stygar SS brackets from Ron and bundle them with all S52 and S54 SS packages. That would give us an advantage over all other SS dealers in the US.

Probably about half as much as the M3 breadbox exhaust.

FYI, Z4 brochure shows the 3.0i gets "specially tuned exhaust" which is not available on the 2.5i.

I have a regular job. Sadly. For the time being.

Andy does LeatherZ work full time. My dad works like an ox and we've been using him for a lot of work too.

Question Can I get a deferred discount?

I'm probably going to upgrade my exhaust in the Jan/Feb 2003 timeframe. When I do, I'd like to purchase from LeatherZ.

I'm assuming that by that time, catalog and ordering info will be available on your site. Here's my real question: will I still be able to get the previously mentioned discount for bimmerfest members?

Glad to see that things are going well for LeatherZ. Hope to see that Coupe in person one day soon.

Last time I checked, BMP (NA distributer) wouldn't bring them in separately.

Talking Big JonM, congrats on being a SS dealer (m)

too bad I have a Trapp and happy...I do have one question, which no one has tried...yet. I am thinking that the 3.0 dual pipes, the ones that run between the collectors to the muffler, they look like they have a similar bend to the 2000-2.8 The only thing custom, might be the hangers.
Since I now live in Texas, I was planning to head to BMP in Tyler to see if they could fit one on, before I lay down any cash.
If you could prove it does, I would be highly motivated to get one...only the pipes..

Anyways, congrats again Jon.

They bring them in seperately. Thats not the issue. Its a 6 week lead time. I was just kinda hoping you know that you had some spare laying around.

I made some up using a vice and a hammer, but they arent pretty. I still have to drill htem.

News to me. What are you trying to do? Didn't your exhaust come with them?
