Congrats katheikia. It won't be long now. Mine took about a week to clear customs and get out of the port. I didn't have any work done (that I know of ) at the port, so if you are having the aero kit installed or any other work figure on at least that much. Your dealer will no better from here. the Owner's Circle shows the status of mine as at the BMW Center but, it is actually in my garage now. It took 18 days from the time the boat left Germany until I had the car. Hang in there and enjoy your new ride, post some pics when you get it.

Katheikia - get your car yet? Mine's been at the VPC since Thursday, still there today.

What are they doing building me a new car? That only takes 3 days..

My 530xi was in port at Charleston on OCT 28th, and the ship was out on the 29th. So my car has been at port or at the VPC since then. I can't believe it's taking so long to get here in Kansas City.

Is there any way (other than the dealership doing so) to track the car from port - to- VPC- to dealership?

I havent got my car yet, it has been at VPC since 10-29-05, they told us last week that I would have it either this thursday, friday, or saturday. My SA will call them again tomorrow to find out exactly wich day. They told me from the beggining it would take this long beacause they are instaling th M-Aero kit. Wish me luck tomorow with the final answer, I cant wait any more, I ordered this car Aug. 22nd, and my current lease ends this saturday. Seems to me like they take there sweey old time. And as for your question NGAGE there is no other way to get info on your car other than the dealer, I have tried.

Hey guys,

Mine finally made it from the VPC to the dealer today. I should be able to pick up the car tomorrow. It took 8 days from the time the ship docked to the dealer, and thats being only 90 miles from the VPC!

My car was released to carrier today, which means it cleared customs and made it through the VPC. I expect to take delivery tomorrow.

Or someone is getting their balls cut off.
