F22 / F23 2 Series (2014 - Current)
The 2 Series coupe is the replacement for the E82/E88 1 series coupe. Production starts in November 2013 on the 228i (N20) and M235i (N55) coupes. Look for them in dealerships in February 2014. The convertible F23 2 series will follow in the fall of 2014.

Need Help: Potential 230i Coupe Order

Hi all.. been reading posts here past few months, but unfortunately I don't see much activity on 2 series

I was hoping to purchase 2017 CPO model to save $$. I found a few candidates on cars that MSRP were $44-45k and now dealers coming down at best to $37-38k range with vehicles under 10k miles. Seems like good deal, but of course each one may not be my color or have options that I want or options I'm willing to pay for. Must haves are M Sports Pkg, ZPP premium, Navi pkg & Drivers Assist.

Then I thought, let me check a few dealers for new 2018. I discovered LED lights are standard + Drivers Assistance Pkg has the much better features & only $500 + Power seats. So far one dealer offered me 11% off MSRP in stock and 10% if i order. Most likely I'd have to order do to limited in-stock supply and want I exactly want or willing to pay for. FYI... I am in northern NJ

My likely MSRP is range of $44-45K... is 10% off very good or I can do better?? Haven't purchased a new BMW since 2002, and in 2009 I purchased a 2006 CPO E46 330ci for $25k

thanks!!

I'd take 10% any day on a BMW I'm ordering.

I thought 10% is pretty good

also, it seems using the BMW Build your own feature that if I select M Sports Pkg, neither of the 2 new blue colors (1 dark & 1 light) or even Silver can be selected.

Can that be true, or just a glitch?

No, it is very much possible that it is not a glitch. For all

IF A
THEN
you cannot have B,C,D ... G

check the ordering guide. Take your time, but it is worth it.

thanks, I printed and read through that order guide & exceptions earlier today. Only color stipulation was w/the Bright Blue Estoril you have to order Sports Pkg; anyway, seems its true based on the online build feature

also, it appears from the pix of my car when built w/M Sports pkg that is loses the LED fog-lights. Yet in the detail only states if you order ZMP & ZTR (Track pkg) are the fog-lights deleted
sure hoping they stay, i need them on dark country roads where I live. Anyone know for sure that has 2018 M Sport package??

Hello,

I started in near identical situation as you. The car is for my wife and she was pretty specific about color and options. Started off with CPO but none had the combo she wanted and she didn't care for signs of wear and tare. We moved on quickly to a new 2017 which had most of the options and the right color . However, we ended up being offered a 2018 with exactly her color choices and options for 15.2% off MSRP (pretty much the same price a new 2017 was offered at by another dealer). The 2018 MSRP price was $45,570. Given the time of year and rebates etc floating, i think you should push a bit harder ;-) just my two cents. Our car is status 150 right now.

Convenience package
Premium package
Nav,
Track Handling package
Driver Assistance package
HK,
Apple Car Play
PDC

other notes: i passed up on the M sport and took the track handling package. In the words of another forum member (meat versus potatoes) . This was a merely to keep the price down and my wife doesn't really care for the difference in fenders etc. Yes, it is nice to get the 2018 features that were options on 2017 (back up camera, LED lights etc).

If you are so inclined, if you message me, i can connect you with the CA who was willing to suffer through my questions and switching from CPO to 2017 to 2018. :-) .

The online ordering site can provide some confusing info. The best bet is to go to the dealer and have the sales person enter the options you want into the dealer/factory system.

I spoke to sales rep; he confirmed few colors not available in 230i w/M Sports pkg; BMW sure is frustrating, 2 of the N/A colors are my top choices. The new Dark Blue & Silver; urgh!!

Have you considered Track Handling Package without M Sport Package, like the car eksath ordered for his wife? Other than the 704 Sport Suspension (or option for 2VF Adaptive M Suspension), most items in the M Sport Package are frills or cosmetic fluff. Track Handling Package includes 2VF Adaptive M Suspension, 2VL Variable Sport Steering, 2NH M Sport brakes, and non run-flat Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (staggered fitment) on 18" wheels.

A U.S. market 2018 230i with Track Handling Package, Convenience Package, Driving Assistance Package, and Premium Package (includes satnav) retails for $42,995 including destination charge.

thanks GKR... I did think about adding track pkg and deleting M Sports; I see the must have creature features I would lose in the M can be picked up in the Convenience Pkg.

However.... I see track pkg has staggered wheels (40 series upfront & 35 in rear). I had same in my 2006 E46 330ci with even wider footprint (255 & 235 front & rear); was wicked combo & great handling but bit rough as a daily driver and the track pk does not include all-season tires. Do not want the added expensive of 2nd tire/wheel set like I had with my 2006. And not due to snow worry (don't drive in snow anyway), but due to cold temps here in northern NJ in winter. Summer tires get too slick and dangerous w/no grip. One nice thing dropping M sports, vehicle even w/track package can be ordered in the new Dark Blue or Silver my Top 2 choices...

decision-decision-decisions... urgh

Looking for any other input;

10-11% off MSRP is about best I can do?? That's my best 2 offers so far;

Update; got another good offer today at 12% off on 2018 order plus strong trade-in offer on my '14 V6 Accord Coupe. Looks like this could be best offer I'll receive; good until next week
