E60 (2004 - 2010)

coming home/leaving home light function??

Could anyone tell me if the 5 series has this feature and how it works. ie will it light the area in front when you are walking up to the car?

Mein Auto: '05 545i
My US '05 545i has it, but don't know if it's standard on all models in all countries. FWIW--I've never used it, other than testing when I first took delivery, on this and a few other cars.

Does it light up headlights when you come to the car

When you come up to the car will it light up ahead so you can see where you are goin in the dark?

When you leave the car, the lights will stay on for a predetermined time (which you set in iDrive). Not when you approach the car--there are puddle lights on the side view mirrors which light up when you unlock the car.
