Windshield wiper "tick"?

OK so it's raining in Boston tonight, and I just finished driving back from the BMW service center - again.....Does anyone else have an issue with an audible "tick" or "click" in the cabin each time the windshield wipers activate?

Every time my wipers start from a stop, I hear a "tick" that sounds like a solenoid firing that sounds like it is coming from the passenger side glove box. This isn't all that annoying unless you put the wipers on "automatic". If I leave them running - I only get one "tick" - when they turn on the first time - but there is no intermittent setting without relying on the rain sensor...

Is there any SIB out on this, is this just my luck with my car or does someone else have this issue too? Any resolution?

I've never noticed any noise. You should take it in to the dealer.

Neither did I, however I do feel the wiper's electric motor when it is activated and I have my foot on the brake. I mean, I feel it in the brake pedal, it is a very strange feeling but I don't see this as a malfunction of any kind.
