Wheel Jack (HELP)

Hi Guys,

I searched top and bottom for the thread with reference to the handy wheel jack that was specifically for the E90, no luck. Can someone remimd me where and the cost of ordering this jack with carry pouch?
I ordered my winter wheels yesterday 18" all season setup from Tire Rack (Gary) and now need to purchase a jack + socket wrench.

Why would you want a crappy jack for lots of money? Get yourself a real floor jack.

What 18" all-seasons did you get? I searched Tire Rack and couldn't come up with anything!

OK good question, but here is mine. What if I am traveling 100 or even say 10 miles from my home where the real floor jack is and get a puncture????? I wouldn't want to keep a floor jack inside my car..

I ordered the PZero Nero M&S 18" from Pirelli, quite good tires. They come highly recommended.

Good point, but with a puncture and a jack on an E90, what are you going to do? You don´t have a spare. Do you want to plug the tire at the roadside? If so, you need a whole lot more than a jack. Otherwise you need a tire service company (that you can actually drive to on your puctured RunFlat tire) and they have a Lift.

Well my friend, if I am going through the trouble to purchase a jack for keeping inside the car trunk, wouldn't it be wise to just go ahead and get the spare (full size) already on order

I have staggered but got also 1 extra for the front as my spare...

Ohh, my bad they are non run flats. My OEM runflats will be inside the garage for next Summer driving, no need for a spare there.

So youre trading out your runflats for non runflats+jack+spare?

Thats a tradeoff I personally would not make. But to each his own.

I really have no choice. They simple have not made all season run flat tires in 18" for my purpose. I don't want to go with 17" tire setup. Do you guys have 18" run flats all season in Germany?

Ah, I missed the 18inch part. And no, Germany only gets 17incher winter tires in RFT as well.

But then my summer setup is 17´s as well, so I don´t mind.

Question: If you´re running seperate tires for summer and winter, why are you running all-seasons in witer instead of specialized winter tires?

Reason 1. - I am not pleased with the snow tires offered for my car. They simply wear too fast and the ride I was told is not very smooth.

Reason 2. - It doesn't get that bad here in New York during the winter season, then again I don't take my car out when it snows (unless I really have to)

Therefore the all seasons will take me through the light snow + colder temps. than the Summer RFT.
