Cool Another ticket today

You won't believe this...

As most of you know I got a speeding ticket the first week with my car (second for me in 6 month). And I just got out of my first speeding ticket last Monday when the officer didn't show up.

Today when I was getting out of work I was stopped again !!

This time it was at the on ramp to the 134 highway. Its a T intersection with STOP signs and my on ramp is basically a left turn. Needles to say EVERY ONE does a rolling stop at this on rap especially that there is almost no traffic coming from the opposite direction.

There was an ambush today... 2 CHP cars parked on the left shoulder of the on ramp and the CHPs are on foot stopping cars..

I actually saw them and did a full stop.. He pulled me over (along with the 2 cars that went before me) anyway and said that though I did a full stop it was AFTER THE STOP LINE... He said that I probably stopped because I saw him...

So I was like WTF ?? Argued with him a little with no use, he asked me to prepare my papers and went back to lean on his patrol car and writ the ticket for the car in front of me...

Then another car came into the on ramp doing the exact same thing (an E46). He stopped the car and there was a nice looking chick in there and he LET HER GO.....

I called him and said why did you let that car go she did the same thing... He said that he did not see here well from where he was standing !!!!! I said then why stop her ????? And he took my papers and back to his patrol car..

1 minute and he comes back saying that I got lick because he was called in and needs to get to some place and he'll let me off with a verbal warning.. But asks me not to leave before the car in front of me leaves so that driver wouldn't complain that I didn't got a ticket while he did !!!!!

Of course after I left I saw him in my mirror stopping the next car...

So basically I called his BS and it worked ... I still can't believe it..

35 miles later, cruising @ 78 on the left lane 5 north, I think I got spotted by another CHP on the right shoulder !!!! ... By the time he merged into the highway I was doing like a 100 on the off ramp to the 126 and just got away... There was no way I was gonna get a ticket today

Actually you can't do that in Egypt since the police put road blocks a few hundred meters down the road from teh radar and they stop you based on radio communication from the rader officer.. No way around it..

This is my first time to do it.. Just out of frustration.. I would have stopped right away if he had cought up to me, but I was fast enough

Exactly. What kills me...people who won't speed but they run stop signs. Of the two, I view running stop signs as very dangerous.

I've got no problem with cops nabbing people for that.

And start making complete stops. Having an automatic does not excuse a rollling stop either.

That's a bit rude. Have you been under the speed limit at ALL times?

And to the OP: Isn't it about time to stop counting minor dings and tickets?

It's not rude when he posts that he's doing 100mph to get away from cops.

That's idiotic.

Yeah, but most likely just because the cops were there. All the people I've met that say "everyone rolls through the stop" as a justification rolls their stop signs.

yo daoushy... check this out... just got my '06 550i... had K40 radar/laser diffuser installed at the dealer. got to test it the other day on the hwy in NY... nightime... a cop lasers me from behind... i'm doin 90... K40 starts buggin out, an when I check my rearview i see him coming onto the hwy from a rest stop on-ramp. i know he's a cop soooo... i push it up to 150... get off the exit. i cruise up the back road headed back to the hwy, all proud an **** that my $2,500 K40 worked. so i pretty much dragrace some kid in an evo back onto the hwy (not much of a 'race'), but as i get back on the hwy the K40 starts buggin again. check the rearview! same cop's right behind me! but again... he can't get a reading because of the diffuser so... follows me about a mile until just turning around in frustration to go bust some other poor sucker. so worth the $2,500!
anticipating the hate to follow... i just have to pose the question here... I'm thirty years old already, and I don't know if if I'm to be considered immature for this or not... but speed limits aside... I like to drive fast. now, with all the concern expressed over the outrageousness of breaking the speed limits and laws of the road... question is... why the hell else would I pay 70 G's on the sweetest 4.8 V8 elegantly stuffed into the most advanced, comfortable, and totally bad-ass car I've ever driven?! I think 0-60 in 5.5 seconds was my actual deciding factor...
I don't know...
