SoCal Meet

It's pretty sketchy, but how about a Southern Cali meet? The weekend of February 9th or 10th would be ideal. I've never organized one of these events, so any help or ideas would be appreciated. I'm thinking lunch and a nice drive. This will serve as the initial sign-up sheet to get an idea who's coming.

I'm in! I would like to meet all of you guys. How about a nice drive along PCH? And would this be for E46 only? I think we should open it up for other Bimmers also.

I don't see why E36, E30, E39 or whatever can't come....they're all great Bimmers. Who else is in?

I think I would have a hard time getting to Malibu Canyon by 8 am from San Diego. Although the canyons are fun. I used to ride my bike up there all the time. Lots of twisties.
You SD guy's want to do something closer?

I think we're all here in San Diego area. I guess somewhere with a large parking lot were we could gather. What do you think?

Well, hey I'm a new member to this forum and a new(er) Bimmer owner. I would like to meet some other 3ers, but I live up in the San Fernando Valley and going all the way down to SD is too much for one day. If you can set it up closer to metro LA I'd be up for it.

I've been thinking about this all day.
I am definitely interested in a SD meet, but I may stay the night at my brother-in-laws house so I can hit the Malibu canyons.
There are some great roads up there.

i its been a while since i caravaned with some bimmers. just keep us posted organizer!!:thumb:

Let's shoot for February 2nd or 3rd. We'll meet at about 10 am(location?) and have lunch. We'll then go for a drive (how far? route? how long?) Need you inputs on where to eat and where to drive.

I'd love to take my car up Palamar Mountain, but it may be a bit cold up there this time of year.
What kind of route do people want?
Cruise the beaches, high speed freeway, twisty mountains?
Let's provide some ideas.

Let's cruise near the ocean. There are a few nice roads up in Del Mar I think?

well i havent done the mtn run yet...done the beach run already, but then again...i dont mind doing BOTH....:thumb:

yeah, Dean325Ci emailed me saying he'd be out of town for the next week or so but that we should figure out what roads we'd like to take and go from there. Does anyone have ideas? Let's make a decision and let's go! So Saturday Feb 9th?? Any objections??
