Anyone removed backing plates for the rear brakes?
I installed a big brake kit, but now the rotors (esp. left rear) touch the backing plate because there is just not enough clearance. Anyone had this problem? And is it safe to remove the backing plate? Your thoughts appreciated.

You could just trim the section(s) that rub.
