Fold down rear seats

I viewed the owners cd-rom (very cool btw) and they feature a rear seat fold down option. When I bought my car the only thing available that i knew of was the ski center arm rest option. I went to the bmwusa.com and didnt see any option; doesn anyone know anything about this option?

Yes it's a stand-alone option that comes with the ski bag.

I have it on mines.

I was talking about folding down the enitire back so the trunk is exposed, not just the arm rest...

Yes...you can fold it down and see all the junk in your trunk. $475 option.

I have it too...use it all the time. It's an option on the sedans and standard on the Touring wagon. Split rear seat folds one fold including the center armrest, but you can also as you hinted at just slide your skis through the hole above the armrest.

Oh this option is part of the cold weather package too.

For what it is worth, the recent redesign of the bmwna website makes is much harder to determine what options are available on this car. Bad form BMW...the list of options was much easier to read and made it much more likely for us to order options (knowing that they existed).

I disagree, I think it does a better job explaining the options and visuals are also better. It is a little tougher though in regards to seeing every option...

I think the problem is it isn't obvious there's a "page 2" or "page 3" of some categories... it's in the bottom right of the option graphics area on the website when you're building a car.

On the 3 series, the fold dowsn seats are definitely a page 2 or 3 item

I totally agree. The website needs to be re-re-designed. I liked the older version much better also.
