Clutch on the floor

My 1989 535 clutch went to the floor and will not come back up. It has plenty of break fluid but there is no pressure at the clutch.

Exclamation

Before you assume that it is either of the cylinders, take off the lower dash cover, under the steering wheel. Take a look at the mounting bolts for the master cylinder. I had the exact same symtom a few years ago, and it turned out to be the master cylinder had come loose from its bolts, hence the pedal going to the floor and staying there.

The bolts were still in the holes, so I put it all back together, with some blue loctite, and I haven't had a problem since!
