6er Benefit & Good Bye Party for GrahamBishop

Okay. This is on short notice, so you won't have a long time to develop your excuses. 6er benefit/meet, and good bye party for GrahamBishop this Sunday, so long as at least 4 6er owners other than GrahamBishop and I commit to come.

Remember. I am buying the coffee.

WHERE - Starbucks at the Calabasas Commons. Not the one in the Barnes & Noble, but the free standing one at the north-east end of the Commons.

WHEN - Sunday, January 29, 2006

TIME - 10:30 a.m.

WHY - To say to GrahamBishop, Democracy-installer, who is moving from 29 Stumps to somewhere in Texass.

BRING - $1 for GrahamBishop's MP3 fund and a thirst for coffee and a tour of Mulholland Highway, past MalibuBimmer's place (which will not be pointed out on the way - but watch for an oil slick and red pavement) all the way to PCH.

RSVP - Below. Beewang will keep track. If any of you guys RSVP and don't show, Beewang will disenable your avatars and you will be publicly on this Board. And I will hunt you down and find you and park next to you and . . . Well, that's all.

Don't get too excited, GB. We're still 4 6ers short.

I think most of these guys don't actually drive their 6ers, they just modify them and then park them in two spaces in parking lots.

Lots of wimpy RSVPs. Three maybes = 0 yesses. Hall of Maybes: Gary, Steve, Nevervana. Busy Sunday (shame on you) - Cobradav. (It's only 2776 miles from your place to Calabasas, most of it on I-10.)

All you LA and SD guys who won't even say to GrahamBishop, one of our oldest and most loyal posters. This is a tribute to GB and his sand splattered 645Ci, the very same GB who has spent many years installing democracy throughout the United States and who will now be trying to bring it to Texas. Sheesh.

If the RSVP rates stays like this, nothing's gonna happen Sunday at Starbucks @ the Calabasas Commons.

Well, when you come to this 6erfest you can take up 2 parking spaces and GB will personally and profusely apologize. Also, I will give you a frock promotion to CWO and you'll outrank the Gunny.

I haven't even posted to that thread. (I just try to park as far away as possible). I happen to think you're a fellow BMW enthusiast and a "bro" because we have the kewlest car on the road. That's why I may drive there Sunday. Just for s$^ts and grins. I have a very thick hide. Being the only (retired) Army guy with a base full of jar heads will do it for you.

Give me directions!

I've been to Calabasas a few times in the mid 90's but haven't been since.

One yes + three maybes = 1 yes. So we need 3 more. Do I hear a yes, anyone? There were more 650is driving home with me tonight on PCH, for chrissakes. Three of them plus me. 650is, not 6ers. (Sorry, Steve.)

Are you guys going to save some spots in the back of the parking lot so we can all take up 2 spaces there?

What's good at Starbucks? I never go there. I always liked Coffee Bean better. Maybe I can bring my laptop and use their free internet then, I guess.

Beewang and I have had 2 6er meets when only we showed up. There was a gathering of exotics back in - what, November? - where a total of 3 6ers showed up. So, I want to see a real critical mass of 6ers. Otherwise it's ho hum, notwithstanding that the company would be excellent. I saw more 6ers than that on my way home, on PCH with me, tonight, and we were within 250 feet of each other, all traveling in the same direction. GrahamBishop should not be expected to drive in from 29 Stumps for anything less than 5 other 6er drivers throwing money and music selections at him.

Except for Beewang, GeneArch, Chuck92103 and Credit777 -whose cars I have seen - I don't think anyone else who posts here really has a 6er. Well, maybe Phunky. Who else would cop to the Eva Braun edition? And Lawman, who says he'll show up.

But all the rest of you guys who say "maybe" - what is it? You trying to borrow one from your dealer that morning but don't yet know if you can pull it off?

Poseurs everyone of you. Talk mods. Talk big about bats and caves, and breaking into people's houses with the big screen TVs. But when we say "Stand and Deliver!" you shrivel up and run off. Not a pretty sight.

So, I ask again. Who is coming to Starbucks at the Calabasas Commons this Sunday at 10:30?

So far it's - Confirmed - GrahamBishop, Malibubimmer and Lawman. Maybe - Everyone else. And that's about it. Out of 20 posters, 14 of whom live in Southern California, we have 3 people showing up. Only 3 6ers? Hmmmm.

Shouldn't you guys be at church?

As for meeting people from the internet, I've always tried to avoid it.
