Just in case you didn't know...

After perusing the 6er board, I have reached the conclusion that the iDrive found in THEIR cars is collectively responsible for all of our problems...

That is all. There is nothing more to see here...move along.

I have to admit...I was oblivious to all of this, until one of the Enlightened Ones showed me The Way.

I have recently registered for a "FORGET HOW TO DRIVE" class, to be followed up with a "WHERE TO PUT THAT DARNED EXTRA LATTE" class, and finally, a seminar on how to deal with all the homeless/horny old ladies/cops/sponsor-seekers that will approach me if I am ever so fortunate to drive such an apparent POS iDrive infested heap of scrap.

I was going to say that the OP is quite astute - for a 3 series driver. At least AJAX knows where to 3er owner/drivers should talk about such things - on a 3 series board.
