It could be 1-4 days on the average. Remember that the status is often delayed 1-2 days. Once it is loaded on the boat you can track it all the way across the Atlantic using the shipping company portal and your VIN.

can also be as long as 2 weeks, and one fellow I know waited closer to 3!
check the shipping schedule on the site and enter your ports of debarkation/embarkation and you should see the next ship due to leave... likely your car will be on that one.

Check this website: http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp Click on the 'cargo tracking' icon in the lower right hand corner. When that page opens, click on 'auto cargo', and enter your VIN on the next page that comes up. It will tell you the name of the ship your car is on, and the day it left Bremerhaven, but that's about it. Dig around the website a little more though, and you can enter the ship's name to pull up its schedule when it is supposed to arrive in NYC (basically the same day it will arrive at the VPC). This isn't foolproof, as I understand BMW uses alternate shippers from time to time (so I've read), but this is their primary shipper (Wallenius Wilhelsen Logistics). HTH.

No problem...once your car shows as "In Transport" on Owner's Circle you should be able to see it. Good luck, and try to be patient!
(Easier said than done I know)

again, using that same site you can go to the Shipping schedule and enter the info i mentioned earlier and see when the next ship will be leaving that meets your parameters.
sounds like in your case the debarkation port will be Bremmerhaven (well, they all are really) and your embarkation port is NY.

The OC website is, in my experience, about a week or so behind real time. Your car may already be loaded on a ship. My dealer told me that customer order cars go on last and are therefore, unloaded first, prepared first and loaded onto the trucks first.
Also, I checked the website last week and it said my car was still at the VPC. I took delivery in November. So there you go. |
