That's what happens to those who wait. And that's not only in the Bay area.

The day I went in to buy my car there where several other people looking at it prior to them driving it back for final prep. I was glad I pulled the plug when I did because I don't think it would have been around for long.

That deal is crazy. Heck, that's not even a ZHP and has too many miles for that price.

I used to like the myrtle wood, but now that I have the black cube, I really like it better. Especially with a black interior

How funny, that's exactly how I feel. At first I definitely wanted the myrtle wood in whatever BMW I had, but when I saw the black cube in the ZHP, I liked it better. I can't get into the silver cube for some reason.

Is this reasonable? Used ZHP sedans seem to be going for the low $30's, so I'm wondering what I should expect to pay for a low-mileage 2005 ZHP coupe?

Thanks.
A new '06 as equipped would list for $47,900 according to bmw website. The question is how much under list could you buy a new car? The dealer price might be a touch high, but if its exactly what you want, go for it and don't feel too bad. Otherwise, ordera new one.

My 2005 330ci ZHP, Xenon, Heated seats has a current buyout of ~$34.5k. It has 11.9k miles.

Granted, that's probably a bit high because of an artificially-inflated residual by BMW, but until the E92s come out it holds.

So if I was to sell it private I'd be asking for that much, easy. It doesn't have Nav, Premium, or even metallic paint (Imola Red), and it's not CPO-d, like the car you mention probably is/was. That car also has ~5k fewer miles. So I'd say, yeah, $40k would be a reasonable offer -- the dealer's asking price of $43k sounds pretty fair.

Have you priced what a new '06 330ci ZHP with those specs would cost?

Our '02 325ci had the wood... nice for awhile, but the black cube adds a very unique touch. I've gotten a ton of compliments about it too (mostly women). My wife says silver cube seems a little too 80's heavy-metal rock band -- I'd have to agree.

I hear ya on that one. My wife liked the myrtle wood, but she just doesn't get it. I think putting wood inside a ZHP would be a crime. The black on black looks very slick

Woo, black cube fans! I knew they were out there. And yes, chicks dig the black cube.

I looked around my area (greater DC) and used ZHP coupes or sedans are in very short supply. There are a couple of sedans (1 auto, 1 manual) and essentially no coupes. There's quite a supply of 6 speed 2004/05 coupes without ZHP and you can get a low mileage CPO one for $33-34K, but good luck with the ZHP. I have 2004 6 speed sedan (no ZHP) and have wished for ZHP ever since (except those days I think about a M3).
