Power Stearing leak
My mechanic noticed a "very small" leak in a power stearing line. It's not even enough to drip just dampen the line. He said it is nothing to panic about but should get it fixed at the next service (about 6 months away).
Is this an expensive thing to fix or should I not worry. |

Replace the clip underneath the resovouir. Mine leaked on the Alternator and shorted it out. I replaced the clip and it does not leak. Don't wait, the dealer chargers over $700 for the alternator. The leak is not important, where it is dripping is very important!

I have a similar issue on my e36. I think the clamps loosen over time. I am going to try replacing the clamp and hope that is the problem, not a leaky hose. However, mine seems to be coming from under the reservoir where one of the fittins connects and is held by a clamp. I'll know soon enough. Might want to try the same, replace the clamp.
