This concludes our test...
Sad to say, but after driving Zoran's Coupe to work all week (including today__what's up with that?!), it's now washed and parked in the garage awaiting its owner.
Eurosport's Twinscrew Supercharger package has to be the most outragous, yet well-mannered performance modification you can apply to the S-52 Series of M Coupe/Rdstr. When I got the Blue Coupe out on the road last Saturday, I was immediately impressed by its shear pulling power. It is as much stronger than my Dinan/Vortech/NickG supercharged S-52 Rdstr as that car is compared to a stock example. Pure adrenaline! Fortunately, we now live even closer to the outlying areas of Toledo, so I was out in farm country and four-way stop intersections within a couple of minutes; perfect for doing a few acceleration runs. Given that the car also has a new UUC clutch, all-out runs were out of the question, so easy launches and relaxed shifts were the order of the day. Even so, the engine just forces you back in your seat until you let up for the next gear and next surge forward. Okay, great fun, but what's it like to live with? When you disconnect the battery, the trip odometer resets to zero; as the car now sits, it shows around 215-220 miles. I drove Zoran's car on my daily commute (at his request ) all week to insure there were no drivability issues. A couple of the days were either drizzley or moderate rain too. The car is as tractable as you want it to be, as I never had any problems keeping it reined in. When there's a gap in traffic, or you just want to get around the (cellphone yacking...) road-block in the left lane, all you have to do is squeeze on a little throttle to jettison past them. A downshift to fourth gear is optional, but highly entertaining as the car goes so fast so fast (not a typo). BTW, the final drive ratio was raised to 3.15:1 (plenty of those floating around); can you imagine if it still had Zoran's 3.73:1 fitted All that's left now, is to get the freshly LeatherZ'd gauge hood returned and installed. The installation pictures can be seen at http://www.rfdm.com/gallery/album35 Eurosport's Twinscrew is on my wishlist; is it on yours?

Nice....it makes me want to
So do you start implementing your talent to the S54? I like the part where the "car goes so fast so fast!"

Estoril leather Subaru/modified/Forbes cowling is en route. I went ahead and did a stitched design with my new Pfaff machine which will match the extended leather console side hockeysticks.
Expect it Wednesday at your place via FedEx Express service. It came out nicely. I invested extra time to make templates so I can remake these. I suspect you may not be 100% thrilled with estoril leather on top of "estoril" plastic. If so, no prob. Let me know and I will make you a black one.

I'll add that the twin screw is also incredibly robust. Now have 30,000 hard miles on mine and am about to go Stage 2!

Good news about the templates, as I'm considering doing it myself; and I've got another gauge project car (and twinscrew) showing up this Saturday, though he may want his in the console...
