What wristwatch do you wear?

As of last friday i wear a Corum Bubble

akula is Russian for attack sub which is also Russian for shark. Good guess --- you're pretty darn close.

I ruined a few nice watches because I was around the salt water too much. Someone would call me up and an hour later we were fishing. I would forget about the watch I was wearing. I have a nice Seiko that no one can remove the back to change what we think is the battery. Oh well.

I switched to a cheap dive type watch a few years ago. It's almost disposable.

I have a couple of TAGs and a Rolex Explorer, but my favorite by far is this one.... a 1969 Omega Speedmaster 'moon watch'. I've always been a space buff, and since this is the model that NASA equiped all its astronauts with through the Gemini and Apollo missions, I couldn't resist picking up a vintage 1969 (the year of the first landing). In this shot, I've swapped the stainless bracelet with the double ridged kevlar strap from my Omega X-33 because I liked the black on black look.

not a huge fan of the bracelet, but i do think that if i ever get in a position to spend 2k on a watch again, it will most likely be speedy (first i've got college funds to seed and retirement funds and mortgages to pay down, etc. etc.). it's all good.

I used to wear the Omega Moon watch. Then I put it away and common sense got me favoring the Timex Triathlon. Sad to say that my Moon watch was stolen, and as many times I wanted to buy another one for sentimental reasons, I haven't, or I could have bought a Rolex. I don't need an expensive watch to be flashy. I'm just great as I am. I take it back, if you guys want to start a collection for a Rolex, I will gladly accept.

I haven't worn a watch for about 4 years now. My mobile phone took its place.

They are attractive, though, so I can appreciate a good watch. For me, I just couldn't see any reason to continue wearing mine when my mobile had the time. So my old 21st birthday present went into a box and has never seen the light of day since.

I recently purchased a stainless steel Cartier Roadster. Absolutely LOVE it and get many compliments on it!

i'm not a huge fan of tags, but i've always liked the carrera. are they still available new, or has the limited production run its course?

I pitty all you folks that have to spend thousands of dollars to tell what time it is. Every bank I knock off has a big clock in front of it to let me know what time it is.

I guess I never really got into the expensive wristwatch thing. Sure, BMWs can be expensive, but atleast the provide a set of features and driving feel that's hard to match. But, an expensive wrist watch is purely about fashion, and maybe just the enjoyment of having a nicely made watch. BUt, that's not enough for me to get excited enough to spend $1k+ on a watch. I wear a Seiko.

I was given an Omega upon my retirement from the Post Office. It looks like an Omega but instead it has an eagle where the Omega logo would be diplayed and it says US Postal Service. My other watch is a Japanese brand that I purchased at the Navy Base Exchange(retired Air Force). It came packaged with two pencils and a manual pencil sharpener, all for five bucks and it's really acurate!

It is the only jewelry I wear and I consider more of a piece of art/engineering marvel hence why I have an auto movement with sapphire back so I can admire the engineering! It is amazing, and the ebel movement is one of the most accurate and complicated, not a standard movement like many other brands in a different case.
I just started getting into watches and I fear it may become a hobby.....but like I said, I do not wear any other jewelry so I have no bling..... that is a waste IMHO!!! To each there own.... as long as your happy no one can knock that! Best of luck

I was joking around. I think a lot of time pieces are absolutely stunning, but not for me. Even if I could afford a nice piece I would never wear it. I can't stand having anything on me other than clothes and my glasses. I do enjoy looking at nice watches though. I was just funnin' around.

My wonderful wife bought my Fossil watch for Christmas. I have "held" a Rolex watch and they are heavy, this watch isn't as heavy but it took some getting use to.
I think that it is a very nice watch for the money, and of course because who gave it to me
