First thing you have to do is turn off DSG, then press the sport button, then set shift mode in S6.The next thing to do is push up and hold the console shifter, then press gas to the floor while shifter still pushed forward, then when you are ready let go of the shifter and away you go.Keep it to the floor and grab gears.

Sport button sequence is optional... not needed to Launch the car.
Many folks prefer to use it, but not required.

The question about people telling you not to use it is that if you grenade your tranny and bring it to the dealer, they can look up how many times you have used it through the computer, which will help them with deciding whether to warranty it for you or not. Think about longevity before you use this too often.

that may be true in Eurpoe where the RPM's are at 3,200 vs the 1,800 rpm we get here, but the dealer has no way to track how many times you use LC in the USA.
They also can not viod the warranty for using a function that the manufactuere included from the factory!

Plus Launch Control doesn't exist (wink-wink). There is no mention of it in the owner's manual. I've never seen anything on US launch control. Thus we can't get in trouble for using something we don't have.
Maybe the service advisor tried it 30 times without us knowing it existed. |

It isn't called launch control is why. It is called Acceleration Assist. And it is in print, but not easy to find.

Oops, yeah, Acceleration BOOST.
Sorry for the sideways, but if you make it fit BF rules, it is hard to read.
