Car condition...

My bimmer is not in perfect condition, is it ok for bimmerfest or will will that be a problem, by not perfect i mean it has a few dinks here and there, nothing major, and rims with minor curbrash...

If you could drive it, I say bring it! (and don't forget to wash & detail it before the show )

Honestly, I'd rather see a gathering of +1,000 enthusiast-owned BMW's than maybe a few hundred mint condition BMW's. To me, this event is more about the people there, not so much the cars.

If it's a BMW, that's all that matters! Year, model, mileage, condition, color, funny smell, or any other peculiar attributes are all welcome. Don't bring any other brand and expect to park in the main lot (MINI's exempt). If it is like the last time at the EWS, there will be a side "visitors" parking lot for all other makes of cars. This includes: Ferraris, Porsches, Lambos, Mercs, etc., no matter how cool. Bimmers only! I saw them let a couple other non-BMWs sneak in at the gate in '04. Let's be more vigilant in '06!

And if you've got something truly out of the ordinary, an E12 Alpina B7 or a gray-market E21 323i or an early Dinan-kit turbo 320i, and you don't show because you've got a couple holes in the carpet and the paint's faded or the trunk lid's rusty, God ought to smite you dead...well, a little deaf...okay, arthritis six or seven days a year.

But the dirt is part of the structural integrity of the car!!!! Well, at least on the Touring it will be.

no money for bondo or JB-weld? had to use adobe mud, huh?

unless it's fortunate to have Kastanienrot-metallic, that dirt/rust color will come right out

It's questionable. Sometimes you might not be able to participate due to too many fingerprints on windows or no tire dressing on the tires. Who knows how nice they will be this year since it's at the fair grounds.

reading this thread made me feel better, i was looking at the pictures from last years bimmerfest and i was thinking of backing out. my car is stock i just want to experience this event thats why i registered. see you guys there!

yea man dont trip i just slammed mine into a curb . Those curbs are tricky u know always jumpin out of nowhere trying to ruin drifts lol. I am gonna be stoked if i can even makeit there. cracked front bumper, restaightened rims with curb rash and all. LOL. ill just park in the back.

don't worry! My car is worse than yours! The exterior is really nice but the interior is completly trashed. Next year everyone will see a pretty sick E30 race car (that's what i'm turning mine into). It really dosen't matter what your car looks like because this is BIMMERFEST not perfectbimmerfest!!!!

I have a black fender on my beige 2002, will you let me in?

Contrary to Roadfly, the 2002 is NOT an "E10". The 2002 is a "114" with an "M10" engine. It is not an "E" type of car, like the E46 or E90.

Big US bumpers are ok, 002. Heck, InkaSteve had a garden hose on his car last year (connecting the blow by to the intake)! My Sunroof has rust spots and 'uge paint chips. And I doubt anyone else, besides me, is rollin' in on Opel GT rims.
