Ventura Or Santa Barbara

Are most of you staying in Santa Barbara? Or are most staying in Ventura?

Anyone staying at the Fess Parker Doubletree? If not I still have time to cancel but my only option would be in Ventura....if that's where I need to meet fellow Bimmer Die Hards.

Not to disrespect the lovely city of Ventura, but Santa Barbara
is where all of the action is. Besides the event itself, S.B.
has all kinds of night life before and after Bimmerfest.

You are coming down with the Bay Area caravan, right? Most of us are staying at the Ramada in Santa Barbara. I'm sure there will be some bimmerfesters staying at Fess Parker's (anybody remember Daniel Boone?). But you are always welcome to come up to the Ramada and party with the Nor-Cal crew. I think it's going to be a blast

Yeah...If someone has canceled a room at Ramada you may get lucky and that is the place to stay. I got my room over 2 months ago and it was filling up then

We should ask the Ramada for a sponsorship.

Hello "Leaper", I'll keep my eyes open for the Ramada, I have the inside track you know.

I am thinking the "Ramada: Official Hotel of Bimmerfest"

All the cool kids stay at the Ramada. But anywhere in SB is preferable to Ventura.

To the OP, I am not seeing any posts from you in the NorCal caravan thread. You should probably send Keith a PM to get hooked into the evite for this caravan. It leaves fairly early on Friday, but I would venture that the majority of the folks heading to SB from the Bay Area will be a part of it.

(edit - never mind, I assume that's you as the latest entry on the list as I write this)

Nothing in particular. I think it's just the place we go out of habit, and the crowd gets bigger every year. It's status is elevated by the parking lot full of bimmers though.

Plus, personally I like the place because they have treated us so well over the years, is it the fanciest and most expensive place in town, no, but it's home.

And Todd, yes I would have to say the Ramada is the Official host for Bimmerfest.

I was informed that we (Bay Bimmerz/NorCalBMW) have 80% of the hotel booked for 2 nights. so they hired security to say on site for those 2 nights, now THAT'S a good enough reason to stay there.
MOST hotels have wondering security (come and go) but these guys will stay
all night and protect our babies.

Although having a 1st floor lagoon-side room is nice as you get an open patio that faces out onto the hotel garden and pond.

I am sooooo wound up right now out of excitement, I can't even tell you.
We are finalizing the arrangements this week, but it's a done deal, I'll tell you about it when it's done.

Personally, I think the Ramada is a great choice. It's a good price, and as Cliff said, those Lagoon-side first level rooms can't be beat!
And then there's the hand-made waffle you can get at the free breakfast!

What I think really makes the Ramada cool is that we are all there. How could that place not be exciting when it's full of us!

I'm with Keith. I can't wait! This is gonna be the most recent bimmerfest ever!!! Now where's that dancing banana?

Not only is this the most recent bimmerfest ever, but it's only 2 weeks away!!!!

I will be staying at the Fess Parker Double Tree all weekend. Couldn't get a room at the Ramada.

No worries mrtm2004...goody for us! See you there....
At least we get to play at the Ramada....thanks to our BMWrads!
