Cool Stupid Key Position Question.

I feel kind of dumb for having to ask, but I've been dumb before....

I'm going to reset my service lights using Ron S's instructions. The instructions say that I need to turn the key to posistion 2.

My question is, what is position 2?

Do I have this right?
Position 1 = key inserted, but NOT turned
Position 2 = first turn of key - radio comes on, but no dash lights
Position 3 = second stopping point - dash lights come on.
Position 4 = Starter motor engaged

Thanks so much,
Dave

Position 2 is what you are calling position 3.

Quick followup

The reset worked perfectly.
I'm a happy camper now.

Europeans start numbering things like this with 0, the position where you insert the key but haven't turned it.

Just like the floors in the building start with ground, ad 1 is the first floor above the ground floor.
