E91 RWD, when is it coming out?

I remember BMW NA said they would release it this spring but so far Does anyone here have any answer? I wish they bring it here. I mean it's bad enough we don't have the 330iT and now they won't even bring the RWD version of the wagon???

I am right there with you! I am eagerly awaiting a rear wheel drive wagon. M5 touring wagon is on its way, what about an m3 touring? Talk about fun!

Thanks for posting/asking this. I've done so a few times as well, but never got quality relies. I did not want to do it again....some smarta$$ posters out there might give nasty replies.

I don't know if it's coming or not. But to me it makes the difference of whether an e91 is even in the running for our next new vehicle. I am not buying a 4-wheel drive. They are wasteful and unnecessary for the bulk of us.

I guess I'm not alone. If they don't bring it over, I might have to go it with the sedan

I'm biding my time with a two year lease on my E61.

An E91 with RWD would be awfully appealing, but I'm becoming accustomed to the larger cargo space after switching from my E46 touring to an E61.

Also, is the M5 touring really a reality, or just recurrent rumor?

rumor as far as I have seen, roundel mag was the last time I have read about it. I would think some spy photos should show up soon if there is one coming.

We're not getting the M5 wagon or 550iT...there was a statement awhile back noting BMWNA declining them.

According to Auto Bild magazine, there will be a M3 and M5 Touring.

With increased pressure from Audi I can see BMW taking a shot at the Uber Tourings in a couple of years...

See attached Calif Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order #A-008-0213, executed on 03-15-06 for BMW's 2007 Model Year emissions certification.

Table on page 2 clearly indicates 328i Sport Wagon and 328xi Sport Wagon as part of the line up. So, looks like 328iT and 328xiT.

However, it is interesting that there's also a 323i; could there be a 323i Sedan for '07?

Also, there's no 335i. Perhaps it falls under a different engine/evaporative class due to the turbocharger.

Note that all engines are the 3.0L I6, just tuned differently for different models. Exception is the 323 which is a 2.5L.

That's a cool bit of information. I'm going to hold out hope that the 335iT isn't listed there because, as you speculate, the turbos are classified elsewhere, not because it isn't coming to the USA.

I would advise that you not hold out too tightly or for too long. What I was suggesting was that the 335i (coupoe or sedan) weren't even listed there for the reason of being turbocharged. I always just assumed that 335iT would not arrive here in the US.

Postings from B-Fest always indicated (though not official) that there would not be a 335iT in the US.

If it were, well, I'll get to the dealer to place an Euro Deliv order as soon as the pricing info comes out
