Volvo S60R on 101 Pacing M3s..sighting

I double posted this..once with the license plate of the car I rememberd...but I also posted under this generic thread hoping someone from that group would see it/ read it, and tell me if you guys are on this forum.

I was expecially interested in knowing if the silver M3 I "momentarily" ran with was stock or not. thanks.

I was cruising home on the 101 South on Friday at about 2-3 pm, when I came across a group of about 10 M3s, one M5, and a Z3 M. I'm a big M3 fan, but I drive a 2004 Volvo s60R that is WAY fixed up via the guys at EVOLVE. I have a full body kit, loads of engine mods and put down about 300hp to the ground. I've run against M3s before, and usually can slightly outrun them.

I had fun checking out the M3s, and there were a lot of "thumbs up" exchanged as I paced the group for a while.

One car was a Silver M3, with two guys in it. We got a chance to play around on the road a bit and run our cars from a roll...our cars seemed pretty well matched and I wanted to know what mods, if any that car had.

I have a BMW fanatic buddy who told me about Bimmerfest and I figured the group I came upon was heading to that. I just wanted to say "AWESOME" cars...every car in that caravan looked super nice.

I also noticed the guys in the silver M3 taking video or stills of my car...any chance I can get a copy of the video you shot? Any video of our "run"??

It was nice to get a thumbs up for my Volvo from M3s - especially ones as nice as yours. Maybe my next car will be the new gen M3... I can dream....

enjoy Bimmerfest and let me know if any of the cars I came across are on this forum.

My car.

Love the R. I have a 2005 M3 vert and my wife has a 2004 V70R. Its really a wolf in sheeps clothing as its a wagon. Its so fast and the active suspension makes me wish BMW put that in the M3.

Nice R, the color is really nice too. I used to have a 95 850 T5-R in yellow.

Aren't the "R" models from Volvo 300hp from the factory? What mods besides body kit did you install? I'm interested in the "R" version (growing family) and would like something fun to drive. Are there lots of aftermarket support for the R's?

Wasn't me, but you've got a great looking Volvo. My parents had a Volvo when I was a kid and it's hard to believe that they have evolved in to. I see one like yours running around in So OC, good looking car.
