M5 and gas miles?

What's the real world data on gas mileage and the M5? 10 ....9 mpg???

I really want one but I am trying not to let my gas fear get the best of me.

I can drive the M5 190 miles with a tank full of gas, but if you drive it in stop and go and in the M-mode most of the time, you will be closer to 150 miles. Don't ask me about the specific mpg though.....

BTW, on highways, you can come close to 300 miles.

After over 19,000 miles, I've concluded the mileage depends largely on how you drive. I have a mix of city and short highway runs, and I'm averaging between 10.5 and 12.5 mpg. I drive in a 'spirited' manner, and use S6, DSC off with a few powerslides pretty much every day. I'm don't drive like a maniac, but I do like to run the car hard on exit and onramps, and whenever the road is clear.

I've had a best of 20.1 mpg on a drive to Cleveland, and a worst of 9.3 mpg after the H&R spring install.

do any of you have a comparison of driving at 400HP and 500HP?

does it make a major difference?

i take it 11 is high (???)

and fuel economy skyrockets if you keep it at 400hp instead of 500?

any possible numbers would be appreciated.

No first-hand experience (I never drive in P400), but I've heard from a number of people there is no difference. All P400 does is limit the throttle butterfly opening to 90% of full at full pedal. If you drive the same way in P500 and P400, you should get the exact same mileage.
