Earliest 1st inspection 1

So I was noticing that at my current rate, my 1st inspection 1 will be at 13.3k miles. So that got me to wondering who here had the lowest 1st inspection 1 mileage.

Edit: I am referring to what the OBC said, not what your mileage was when you actually had inspection 1 performed.

Edit (again): OK, so I meant the mileage you had when the OBC said you needed your first oil service. although if people want to see who had the 1st insp 1. that cool too.

Mine is telling me I the first inspection is at 14,500 miles. Only 1,900 to go!

I don't really understand your edit, but my first service was done at 10,600, when the OBC read 0 miles to 1st service

That HAS to be oilservice, not inspection

for me, somewhere around 22-23K miles. Inspection II should be around 44K

Some people have there Inspection 1 done before the OBC says 0 miles. I am looking for what the OBC says.

BTW, does the M3 have an earlier Insp 1 or do you just drive like a maniac?

it's the same as the coupe, I believe. It's all based on gas mileage, basically. I've averaged around 16-17mpg for the year I've had it

OK, I'm confused. Is this for Insp 1 or just the first oil service? The dealer probably told me, but at that point all I got was 'bring it in when this gets to 0', since I had tuned him out as I was trying to adjust the seat. I hate it when I don't pay attention.

The first service is oil, next Inspection I, then another oilservice, then inspection II ------> repeat

I dont know the exact details on this, but i was at my dealers and they had an SMG M3 in the showroom. I looked inside, and there was a big yellow sticker on the SMG unit, saying mandatory inspection at 1200 or something.

Maybe someone else can comment on this

M3s, M5s and Z8s require a post break-in inspection.

1st oil service at 11,050
Inspection I at 22,797.

HACK is correct. They change differential fluid, tranny oil, and (now) engine oil for free at 1200 miles.

First oil service at 12,200+/- miles, first inspection being done today, with 23,300 miles on the odometer and OBC says inspection is overdue by 250 miles.

It had exactly 21,500 miles on it when I brought it in yesterday for Inspection I. It was right on the money as there were 0 miles left on the OBC before bringing it in. My first oil change (by the dealership) was at just a bit over 10,000 miles.

My former 330i came due for it's 15K oil service at 11,200 miles.

Granted, I had changed the oil at ~5800.
