How to reset your CBS Inspection Service Reminders for non I-drive E90

Per courtesy of my SA, I found out I can reset these myself. Armed with this info, I figured out how to do it. Helpful to the early adopters who took 1st delivery.

Go to the Inspection Service Reminder Screen (note: this used to read 05/2006, already reset )

Hold the B/C stalk button in till the screen below shows up.

Use the scroll button to change the month if required. Press B/C again to set the year. Use the scroll button to change the year. Press B/C again and "reset" is displayed. The reminder is now set to the new date.

In my case my state inspection is due this month and I got tired of the reminder ... displayed "service" on start up and displayed a yellow car when checking the CBS menu. Reset to 2008 and the nuisance reminders are gone.

Note: This only works for the "Road Test" and "Exhaust Emissions Test" reminders. All others have to be reset by the dealer.
